Hello, and welcome to my new blog!

The purpose of this blog is to keep a record of my journey to health and wellness by cutting out modern processed foods, sugar, flour, and grains. The addition of local organic produce, grass-fed meats, and healthy fats are key to this transformation. For as long as I can remember, I’ve fought carb and sugar cravings and insatiable hunger while eating a traditional Western diet high in carbohydrates and processed pseudo-food. This has led to increased weight gain, endless yo-yo dieting, cyclical mood swings and decreased energy. I have already lost 12 pounds nourishing myself in this new way, and Ive noticed a dramatic improvement in my energy levels and moods.

Going forward, I’ll most likely share recipes, anecdotes and links to articles that I feel are interesting and relevant to this lifestyle. I hope you enjoy reading along!
